Bukit Tinggi, West Sumatra Indonesia [Part I : Shopping and Symbol] hehe

Hai All!

I went to Bukit Tinggi for three days last weekend,

since its my first time to go there, so im gonna call it awesome religious places with spicy-colesterol-great-food! :D


here i take the picture for you guys,

One of the tourism Destination is called Jam Gadang.

Jam Gadang is more like a symbol to Bukit Tinggi City, it placed in the middle of city and many local tourism going there for just take a picture, shopping [you can buy 3 local bracelet for 10,000 IDR or 2 jam gadang magnet refrigerator for 15,000 IDR ] or just take a walk because it surrounded by beautiful panoramic mountain view and of course,, LOCAL MARKET!! huhuyyy!!

The Local Market is called Pasar Atas [or Upper Market] refer to market that placed on a mountain high.

You can buy all the Bukit Tinggi/Padang handycraft in here, such as Kain Songket [local-cool-fabric made by hand by local man resulting a beautiful colour of a local cloth, price range is 500,000 IDR-10,000,000 IDR depends on a dificulty level and rare material].

okay i cant afford those. haha.

But hey!! i can afford these!! a cool rubber sandals with a piece of bukittinggi fabric multi colour symbol for 10,000 IDR each!! horray! i bought it about ten, or 15? or?? well. .

I also bought many traditional food that only can be found originally in that city such as Bilis Fish [such a fried small fish] and Keripik sanjaayyy!!

enough for shopping i guess.

Its the wedding traditional seat based on minangkabau tradition. i also tell you guys, that my purpose to going to Bukit tinggi is to attending my friends wedding,, [in indonesian idiom, its called, when you dive, you drink the water also. hehe]

Theres so many tradition to follow when you celebrate a wedding, one of the example are those 7 layer fabric that put back on the wedding seat. Do you see that clearly? cause every single layers means something to our meaning of life. isnt that cool???

and that just one of many more tradition to follow. happy to follow my friend! hihi.
